The seasonal workers who come to Oregon's lush vineyards are hard-laboring men and women. They are crucial to the economy of the wine industry. From pruning to harvesting, the seasonal need for skilled workers is great.
Because many of these laborers do not work year-round, standard insurance options are not available. Language and cultural barriers place even more obstacles between these people and the services they need.
¡Salud! was created in response to these needs. Each year, winemakers from the stateÂ’'s foremost wineries debut the new vintage by presenting a custom cuvée of the best Pinot noir from their cellar.
These one-of-a-kind wines are auctioned off over the course of a November weekend spent in the company of the ¡Salud! winemakers, savoring the cuisine of the Pacific NorthwestÂ’'s best chefs, and visiting lovely winery and downtown Portland locations.
