To welcome you to the area, many local wineries host dinners the Thursday evening prior to the IPNC weekend. Wineries should be contacted directly for pricing, availability, reservations, and other arrangements.

All dinners start at 6:00 PM unless otherwise noted. Please note, the IPNC does not organize the Pre-IPNC dinners, but provides a list of the wineries and restaurants that will be hosting these dinners along with their contact information. Reservations must be made directly with the host per the listed contact details. We will continue to update this page as details are made available, so we encourage you to check back often.

Indulge at the incredible annual Summertime ¡Salud! dinner. This highly sought-after event will feature 18 wineries from Oregon and beyond, an upscale, family-style dinner prepared by JORY executive chef Sunny Jin, an alfresco pre-dinner wine tasting, wine marketplace, and more. Hosted by Stoller Family Estate, and presented by the Allison Inn & Spa, this lively and decadent evening is not to be missed and is a great way to support ¡Salud!’s mission to provide healthcare outreach to Oregon’s seasonal vineyard workers.

ANNE AMIE VINEYARDS - COUNTER CULTURE 2014 Each year, Anne Amie kicks off the International Pinot Noir Celebration with their pre-IPNC event, Counter Culture: A Celebration of Urban Street Food and International Wines. From the 2005 vintage on, it has been hard to find an Eola Amity wine crafted as precise and picture perfect as the bottles produced under the Dukes Family Vineyard label. With ruby red, linen soft, silky complexity and a flavor profile of deep red cherry coupled with hints of spice box and tobacco each bottle has never been less than strikingly perfect. All Deborah and Jean-Jacques Chatelard desired to do was share with them a spectacular dinner married to their wines that will satiate and deliver the way each one of their bottles does. If your passion is extraordinary food and wine, you are in the right company with Deborah and Jean-Jacques Chatelard and Jackie and Pat Dukes. An evening at one of Oregon’s most idyllic vineyard settings, Beacon Hill Estate in the Yamhill-Carlton District. Upon arrival, guests will be treated to a selection of passed canapes as well as a raw oyster bar with chosen wines. Attend the IPNC Premier of American Wine Story, a documentary that captures the passion and obsessiveness required to abandon a real life to be a winemaker or artisan distiller. Join Oregonians featured in the film, including Janie Brooks with the story of her brother Jimi whose untimely death 10 years ago prompted a long-term commitment by her, and by close friends in the industry, to preserve his dream. Filmmaker David Baker of Three Crow Productions will be present in the Evergreen Space and Air Museum Imax theatre, with a wandering feast prepared by Jason French of Ned Ludd will be spread throughout the museum.

On Thursday, July 24, star winemaker Martin Foradori Hofstätter  will join David Millman, Arron Bell, and Ashley Bell from Domaine Drouhin Oregon for an unforgettable alfresco dinner, overlooking the vineyards and the Willamette Valley below. Chef Gabriel Gabreski will pair his inspired Italian cuisine with special wines from the Dundee Hills estate, the Côte d’Or, and the Alto Adige region from Italy. Only 40 seats available.

For Eyrie’s first Pre-IPNC dinner, we have set an ambitious goal: to guide our guests through the aromas of the vineyard year. In preparation for this dinner, winemaker Jason Lett spent a year exploring the estate vineyards to capture the secret scents of Eyrie’s vines in a series of custom-made perfumes. From sap to flower, these capture the scent of the vines through the year. Eyrie wines will be paired with each perfume, from historic bottlings to modern wines to future wines still in barrel. Portland chef/phenoms Jason Barwikowski and Carly Laws (Woodsman Tavern, Olympic Provisions) will meet the challenge, riffing on the rich array of aromas with an innovative 5-course dinner to match. Dinner will be served under the big walnut tree at our Outcrop Estate vineyard. Stargazing to follow.
